Who We Are?
The Sound Affect is a Music & Entertainment Live-Steam TV Talk Show which can be seen locally, statewide, nationwide & worldwide by taking full advantage of technology with Streaming Internet & Social Media services… A show which has interviews/musical performances, in-studio, on location & via Skype streaming technology with some of the biggest names in the Entertainment Industry.
The Sound Affect is hosted by Tampa Bay Radio Veteran/Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist – Todd T. Riley…along with occasional Special Guest Co-Hosts & Show producer Doug Meyers.
They make fun of & share recent Entertainment/Music News from all around the World, entertain relevant & musical guests with engaging interviews (many of whom may be doing in studio performances), conduct/discuss interactive polls with the fans, as well as spotlight Independent Artists from around the World & the Local Tampa Bay & Florida Artistic Scene, etc.
Vision
Imagine a mix of late night talk shows such as “The Tonight Show” starring Jimmy Fallon, “Last Call” with Carson Daly & Craig Ferguson’s “Join or Die”, combined with elements of “That Metal Show”, Nicki Sixx’s “My Favorite Riff” & Old School MTV shows like “Headbanger’s Ball” & “MTV Unplugged” (when they actually had shows about music with artist interviews)… AND the hosts actually interact with the viewers who are watching it live…This is the Vision for The Sound Affect.
Mission
The goal of The Sound Affect is to become one of the leading Music & Entertainment streaming TV talk shows in Tampa Bay, Florida – the United States of America & around the World, with high profile corporate & individual clients scattered all around the globe.
Our guests are interesting people from/or visiting the Tampa Bay market & beyond, especially those who have found their way on society’s fringe. Also, those who have something interesting to say about what’s going on in the world of Music & Entertainment.

Todd T. Riley – Todd T is a broadcast professional who has been working in TV & Radio & doing Audio/Video Production for over 25 years; having worked many of those years in the Tampa Bay area for 3 national TV channels (most notably HSN & AAN) & 2 of the top Radio companies in the business – Cox Media Group & Clear Channel/iHeart Radio & he is Videographer/Producer of ECSN (The Earl Christy Sports Network) with New York Jets, Super Bowl III Champion Earl Christy.
Todd T. has been On-Air/Voice-Over Talent on several Radio stations in the Tampa Bay, Florida area (including 98ROCK, 102.5 The Bone, Star 95.7 & 97X), he is also a Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist & his bands have shared many stages over the years with several top National Touring Acts – most notably opening for Godsmack at the USF Sundome with the band Moneyshot.
Throughout his Radio career Todd T. has interviewed several National Touring Acts, including interviewing Elektra Recording Artists “Motley Crue” for MTV’s Latin American “Headbangers Ball” & Atlantic Recording Artists “Testament” & “Savatage” for Tampa Bay’s “Metal Masters” Video TV Show & he has appeared in music videos for Electra Recordings Artists “Anthrax” & “White Trash”, both of which received heavy airplay on MTV.

According to Nielson, Americans are Spending More Time Connected On-line than ever before, with over 43 percent of TV viewers in the United States now using streaming services & technology to watch digital video content on their TV, & about six-in-ten of those, ages 18 to 29 (61%), say the primary way they watch TV now is with streaming services on the Internet.
Social media is also a rising source of entertainment news: Over Two-thirds of adults – including 78% of those under 50 – get at least some entertainment news from social media sites, this means there are well over 250 million Adult Internet users in the US alone getting some form of entertainment on-line.
Not only are people’s pathways to information & entertainment changing, they are also interacting with media in new ways, thanks to always-on mobile connectivity. For instance, 85% of adults get entertainment & news on mobile devices & more than half set up their devices to send them real-time alerts about breaking news & other activities, such as new social media posts by their friends & leading entertainment stories of the day.
On-line Broadcasting vs Traditional TV & Radio
Cisco estimates that by 2020, the number of connected devices will reach upward of 50 billion, & in four years, that figure is estimated to reach 1 trillion. With 5G technology just around the corner, the Internet is set to explode like never before as 5G promises superior speeds in most conditions to the 4G network, & when this happens, it is estimated that the Internet will easily become the number 1 source of entertainment viewing in the world, far surpassing conventional TV & Radio as we know it.
Millions of people in the United States alone are watching &/or listening to some form of a live talk show on a regular & consistent basis, particularly on-line. And with the Internet quickly gaining ground on both TV & Radio, & through live-streaming on the Internet, The Sound Affect intends to stay on top of what’s happening in the world today & the future of broadcasting.
